We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused Level II Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The successful candidate will play an important role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting our dentists during a variety of procedures, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the clinical environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a wide range of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are properly organized, disinfected, sterilized, and maintained in accordance with infection prevention and control protocols.
- Process and sterilize dental instruments following established infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Take high-quality digital dental X-rays and assist with digital imaging and scanning procedures.
- Prepare patients for treatment and provide a welcoming, comfortable, and professional patient experience.
- Assist with maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the day.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
- Provide patient education and explain procedures clearly and professionally when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, reception staff, and other members of the dental team.
- Assist the reception team when needed with appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, and accurate documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience in Canada.
- Level II Dental Assistant certification/qualification.
- Robust knowledge of dental instrument processing, sterilization, infection prevention and control, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience taking digital dental X-rays.
- Experience with digital scanning and 3D imaging technology is an asset.
- Strong understanding of four-handed dentistry and efficient chairside assisting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable interacting with patients of all ages, including children.
- Professional, friendly, reliable, and team-oriented.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental workplace.
- Experience with Dentrix is required/preferred.
Office Hours
- Monday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (selective Saturdays)
