Job Overview The position is responsible for supporting new and ongoing business opportunities by preparing design and presentation drawings, visual materials and communications content that effectively showcase HOLZ’s capabilities, projects and expertise, including through company branded merchandise and events.
The position works closely with Design Leadership to prepare drawings for prospective and active projects, including initial AutoCAD and Revit drawings, presentation materials and other visual information required to support project proposals, bids and customer engagement.
The position also supports HOLZ’s external communications and social media presence by developing, reviewing and preparing visual and written content for approval. Through this combination of design and communications responsibilities, the position helps ensure that HOLZ presents its work to existing and prospective clients in a professional, consistent and engaging manner.
Responsibilities
· Prepare feasibility studies and preliminary design information to support potential and ongoing projects.
· Conduct code reviews and related design research, as required, to support project development.
· Prepare schematic design and development drawings in collaboration with Design Leadership.
· Prepare and update construction drawings as assigned and within the scope of the position.
· Develop presentation drawings, renderings and other visual materials for proposals, client presentations, project bids and sales opportunities.
· Coordinate and communicate with internal team members and external consultants regarding drawings, design information and project requirements.
· Work collaboratively with the Sales Manager and other team members to identify opportunities to showcase HOLZ projects, capabilities and expertise through communications and promotional materials.
· Develop and prepare regular and timely social media content, including written posts, photographs, project images, drawings and other visual materials.
· Coordinate the design, sourcing, ordering and distribution of company-branded merchandise, including apparel, promotional giveaways and employee gifts, in accordance with approved branding and budgets.
· Support the planning and coordination of company events, including timelines, vendors, logistics, promotional materials, set-up and follow-up.
· Review and edit social media content prior to submission for approval to help maintain a professional, consistent and appropriate HOLZ brand presence.
· Assist with gathering and organizing project photographs, drawings and other content that can be used for sales, marketing and communications purposes.
· Maintain accurate records of project progress.
· Meet with supervisor regularly to report concerns or discrepancies and follow-up where required.
· Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, suggest solutions as they arise.
· Represent the business in a respectful way and ensure that services provided are to the highest of standards at all times.
· Demonstrate diligence, confidentiality and loyalty in dealings with employer.
· Work to maintain professional relationships with colleagues and internal and external clients.
· Set and achieve annual professional growth goals and share them with supervisor.
· Ensure effective communication within their department and between departments.

· Provide support and assistance as required to other team members, in particular as workloads fluctuate, as directed by supervisor.
· Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned.
Experience
Degree or diploma in Environmental Design, Architectural Technology, Architecture, Drafting, Design, or a related field from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
· Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and prepare technical drawings and blueprints.
· Knowledge of and ability to use common architectural, drafting and design software, such as Bluebeam, is considered an asset.
· Ability to translate technical or design information into clear and professional visual presentation materials.
· Experience with photography,
visual content development and/or image editing is considered an asset.
· Experience or demonstrated ability in communications, social media content development or marketing communications is preferred.
· Experience coordinating promotional merchandise or events is considered an asset.
· Strong written communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, professional and engaging content appropriate for external audiences.
· Ability to work collaboratively with design, sales, project and operational team members and balance priorities across different areas of the business.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and TEAMS/ZOOM).
· Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Friendly, approachable, and adaptable, with the ability to work successfully with a diverse range of people from various backgrounds and circumstances.
· Have very good oral and written command of the English language.
· Possess excellent communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
· Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
· Manage time effectively and be able to set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while adapting to current ideas and constant changes, if applicable.
· Possess a detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify and address issues promptly.
Other information
· EXPECTED HOURS: Hours of Work: Standard 8-hour shift, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
· Occasional overtime, weekend work, or travel may be required based on project needs.
· Work Location: Position is based primarily at HOLZ Constructors in Winnipeg, Manitoba and project sites as applicable.
· Access to, and the ability to use any type of working smartphone (Android or iOS) with a data plan is a requirement.
· Must provide and wear Canadian Standards Association (CSA)-approved steel-toe safety boots (when needed).
· Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
