Digital Engagement Coordinator - Part-Time

Position Details

Position: Digital Engagement Coordinator

Employment: Part-time

Work Arrangement: Hybrid: in-office, games, events, remote

Reporting to: Manager, Club & Community Development

Approximate Hours per Week: 25

Compensation: $21-$25/hr The position includes in-office hours between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, along with attendance at select games, tournaments, and Club events throughout the season. Some activities will take place during evenings and weekends, and additional hours may be required during peak registration periods, major events, or other busy periods.

The successful candidate must be comfortable balancing scheduled office work with attendance at Club activities and working independently when completing digital tasks remotely.

Our Club is looking for a creative, organized, and community-minded Digital Engagement Coordinator to help grow our digital presence and tell the story of our players, teams, programs, and Club community.

This role is responsible for the Club’s day-to-day social media presence, creating and capturing engaging content at games and events, promoting programs and registration opportunities, and supporting digital communications with members and the broader community.

We’re looking for someone who understands social media, enjoys creating content, communicates confidently and professionally, and can work independently while staying organized and aligned with Club priorities.

What You'll Do

Social Media & Digital Engagement

- Manage the Club’s day-to-day presence across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, and YouTube Shorts.
- Schedule, publish, and monitor content according to approved content calendars and priorities.
- Maintain a consistent Club voice, tone, and visual identity across digital channels.
- Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and other social interactions in a timely and skilled manner.
- Identify emerging trends, recurring questions, and opportunities for engagement, and share relevant insights with the Manager.

Content Creation & Capture

- Use tools such as Canva to create engaging content to promote registration periods, events and club initiatives.
- Attend select games, tournaments, events, and Club activities to capture photography and short-form video.
- Coordinate content capture with staff, volunteers, and third-party contributors when needed.




- Facilitate local media coverage of competitive games.
- Edit and adapt content for different platforms, including reels, stories, posts, and short-form video.
- Add captions and alt-text to support accessible and inclusive digital communications.
- Repurpose approved content across multiple platforms to maximize reach and consistency.
- Maintain an organized digital library of photos, videos, graphics, and other Club content.

Program & Event Promotion

- Execute promotional timelines for Club programs, events, registration periods, and initiatives.
- Create and publish promotional assets using approved messaging and priorities.
- Ensure important deadlines, registration reminders, announcements, and calls to action are communicated consistently.
- Support contests, campaigns, and other digital engagement initiatives designed to increase participation and strengthen the Club community.

Member Communications

- Monitor and respond to inquiries through the role’s designated inbox.
- Provide timely, helpful, and professional responses to general member and community questions.
- Escalate complex, sensitive, or policy-related inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
- Support newsletters, announcements, and other digital communications by drafting, formatting, and publishing approved content.
- Coordinate content contributions from staff, coaches, and volunteers as required.

Metrics & Reporting

- Monitor basic digital engagement metrics, including reach, impressions, and engagement.
- Provide regular summaries to the Manager and identify notable trends, opportunities, or concerns.
- Use available analytics to make practical recommendations about content timing, formats, and execution.

Collaboration

- Work closely with the Manager to ensure digital activity supports Club priorities and strategic objectives.
- Participate in regular check-ins to review upcoming campaigns, content needs, approvals, and timelines.
- Support Program Managers with promotional and engagement-related initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Club Head Coach to support content and promotion of competitive programs.

What You Bring

Required

- Demonstrated experience managing social media for an organization, team, business, or brand.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, friendly, and community-minded approach to engaging with members and the public.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
- Basic photography, video, and content-editing skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and follow established guidelines.
- Comfort attending live games and events and capturing content in an active sporting environment.

Assets

- Experience working in sport, recreation, nonprofit, or community-based organizations.
- Knowledge of youth or community sport environments.
- Experience capturing content at games, tournaments, or live events.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling, email marketing, CRM, or digital engagement platforms.
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, or similar content creation tools.
- Comfort using AI-assisted tools to improve the efficiency of content creation and editing.
- A passion for soccer and/or youth sport.
