St. James role focuses on Indigenous culture and effective social program leadership. We are looking for a passionate Director to oversee social development and child welfare services, emphasizing collaboration with community members and government agencies.
This full-time position requires developing culturally relevant policies and facilitating community input to address the unique challenges faced by Indigenous families effectively. Your ability to cultivate partnerships will enhance program outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement culturally sensitive child welfare frameworks
- Oversee social service programs and development
- Establish cooperative partnerships with key organizations
- Lead community engagement efforts and sessions
- Prepare strategic reports for the Chief Operating Officer Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Over 5 years in senior management, preferably with Indigenous groups
- Deep understanding of child welfare legislation
- Skills in grant writing and securing funding
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License Utilize your leadership and community-focused skills to further Nak'azdli Whut'en’s cultural and service objectives.
