Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate the efficient movement of freight and shipments within our supply chain network. Dispatcher must be capable to handle 20-25 trucks. In this vital role, you will serve as the communication hub between carriers, drivers, warehouse teams, and clients, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.

Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence.

Duties

- Manage transportation schedules using transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize routing and delivery times.
- Coordinate freight pickups and deliveries with carriers, drivers, and warehouse personnel, ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Utilize supply chain knowledge to monitor shipment statuses, resolve delays, and communicate updates effectively.
- Enter data accurately into systems such as AS400 and SyteLine for shipment tracking, billing, and reporting purposes.
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
- Conduct analysis of shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.




- Oversee shipping & receiving activities, verifying documentation and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS), AS400, and SyteLine or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations, freight logistics, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in typing and record keeping.
- Demonstrated analysis skills to interpret shipping data and improve operational efficiency.
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with qualified phone etiquette for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with familiarity with freight documentation requirements.
