About Us
Doggo Den is a multi-award winning, training-based dog daycare, boarding, grooming and resort facility with two locations in London, Ontario. We've won back-to-back Platinum Awards for pet training and socialisation, and we operate on one simple principle: dogs before profit.
We don't use crates. We don't use kennels. We build calm, enriching environments where dogs and the people who care for them actually thrive. That includes paying our staff properly.
The Role
We're looking for a calm, confident Dog Taxi Driver to safely transport our daycare dogs between client homes and our two locations: Westmount (785 Wonderland Rd S) and our Fairview Resort (20170 Fairview Rd). A company vehicle is provided.
This is a split-shift role. Core hours are 7:30am to 10:00am and 3:00pm to 5:30pm, with a long break in between. Additional hours are available for the right candidate who wants to cross-train into our daycare operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Picking up and dropping off dogs safely between client homes and our facilities
- Harnessing, loading, and settling dogs of all sizes and breeds in the vehicle
- Maintaining accurate records of pickups, drop-offs, times, and any special handling notes
- Conducting basic vehicle checks before each shift and flagging any maintenance needs
- Representing Doggo Den professionally with every client you interact with
- Navigating routes efficiently in all weather conditions
Physical Requirements
This is an active, physical role. You will be on your feet occasionally working in all weather conditions. The role requires:
- Regularly bending, kneeling, and crouching to handle dogs at ground level
- Loading and unloading dogs of all sizes, including large breeds
- Physically managing dogs that may pull, resist, or require firm, calm handling
- A level of fitness and mobility that allows you to perform the above safely and consistently throughout your shift
If you have any questions about the physical demands of the role before applying, we're happy to discuss them.
What We're Looking For
- A calm, confident manner with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- An assertive personality. You need to be comfortable directing dogs with quiet authority
- A mostly clean driving record and comfortable driving in all conditions
- Strong time management. You're running a schedule and clients are counting on you
- Genuine warmth and professionalism with dog owners
- Experience in pet care, dog handling, or a related field is a bonus, not a requirement
What You Get
- $18.75 to $21.00/hour based on experience and driving record
- Company vehicle supplied, all fuel and maintenance is covered.
- Adaptable split-shift schedule
- Real training and growth in canine behaviour and handling
- A team that backs your ideas and a culture that's genuinely dog-first
- Staff discounts and perks
- Potential to cross-train into daycare operations for additional hours
