We are a growing before and after school program seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team part-time. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing a nurturing, stimulating, engaging and FUN environment for children in Grades 1 - 5.

Responsibilities:

- Engage and PLAY!
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children
- Create a safe and supportive learning setting
- Provide effective supervision, support classroom routines
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices
- Monitor and assess children's progress
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
- Ensure classroom cleanliness and organization




- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with early childhood education trends

Skills and Qualifications:

- Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Level 2 or Level 3
- Previous experience working with children
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Effective interpersonal skills, time management, problem solving and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search

Shift Timings:

- Monday - Thursday: 1:00 - 6:00 pm
- Fridays: 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
- PD Days and School Breaks: 6 - 8 hour shifts

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 26.0 per week
