Compensation

41,000.00 - 76,900.00 CAD Annual

Purpose

This role is responsible for supporting Sysco Canada's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs, with a primary focus on transportation safety compliance and EHS administration. The position coordinates transportation safety initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable provincial and federal regulations while supporting various administrative functions that contribute to the achievement of EHS objectives.

Responsibilities

Transportation Safety Administration

- Coordinate transportation safety compliance documentation and records.
- Partner with Transportation Managers and Supervisors to collect, maintain, and organize driver qualification files.
- Track and centrally maintain vehicle and equipment safety certifications.
- Organize and maintain maintenance records for tractors and trailers.
- Coordinate with operating sites to ensure compliance documentation remains current and meets all applicable federal and provincial requirements.





Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Administration

- Administer and maintain EHS training records, including updating training matrices and compliance documentation.
- Track and report EHS-related costs using internal systems and tools.
- Maintain and update the EHS contractor registry.
- Reconcile Safety Data Sheet (SDS) inventories with products stored in warehouse locations.
- Enter and maintain inspection records and other EHS-related data within internal systems.
- Follow up with site teams to ensure corrective actions are completed and properly documented.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Coordinate with Human Resources and third-party providers to schedule and manage pre-employment testing requirements, including POET assessments.
- Collaborate with Facilities Management to collect, organize, and maintain required subcontractor documentation.
- Create and maintain subcontractor records within EHS management systems.
- Provide Facilities Management with updates regarding contractor compliance status and approved vendors.
- Ensure subcontractor files remain accurate, complete, and current.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

- Knowledge of federal, provincial,



and municipal EHS regulations, workers' compensation requirements, and industry best practices is considered an asset.
- Ability to support a strong safety culture and contribute to initiatives designed to reduce risk, prevent injuries, and improve workplace safety outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong administrative, documentation, and record-management capabilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a respectful, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Certifications

- Valid driver's license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required. Some travel required (up to 10%)

Education

- Post-secondary education with major course work in EHS, risk management safety/industrial/quality/ environmental engineering or a closely related field is an asset
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

Experience

- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience required.
- Experience supporting EHS, compliance, transportation, operations, facilities, or related functions is considered an asset.

Travel Requirements

- Up to 25% travel required.
