About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Entry-Level Maintenance Technician/ Forklift Operator to join our indoor cultivation facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, troubleshooting problems, and learning new skills in a rapid-paced, highly controlled environment.

The Maintenance Technician will assist with the day-to-day upkeep of the facility, equipment, and building systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, reliable, and willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform day-to-day general maintenance and repairs throughout the facility and surrounding outdoor area.

· Assist with preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems.

· Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and irrigation issues.

· Maintain lighting systems, pumps, fans, motors, filters, and other facility equipment.

· Assist with repairs and upkeep of doors, walls, fixtures, shelving, and general building infrastructure.

· Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.

· Load, unload, move, and stage materials, equipment, supplies, and other facility items.

· Perform forklift inspections and report mechanical or safety issues.

· Assist with receiving, organizing, and moving inventory and facility materials.

· Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.

· Respond to maintenance requests and help minimize equipment downtime.

· Follow preventative maintenance schedules and accurately document completed work.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

· Follow all facility safety procedures, SOPs, and applicable Health Canada, GPP and GMP regulations.

· Work cooperatively with cultivation and operations teams.

Forklift & Equipment Operation

Forklift operation will be an important part of this position.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating a forklift and tractor, working around people, equipment, racks, and other potential hazards.





Responsibilities may include

· Operating counterbalance and/or other powered industrial trucks.

· Moving pallets, equipment, growing supplies, and maintenance materials.

· Loading, unloading and receiving deliveries, and completing associated documentation

· Safely maneuvering equipment in tight areas.

· Snow removal and parking lot maintenance.

· Performing daily pre-operation inspections.

· Following site-specific forklift procedures and traffic rules.

· Reporting equipment defects or unsafe conditions immediately.

Current forklift certification/licensing is considered an asset and may be required depending on the equipment operated and applicable regulations. Candidates must be willing to complete any required site-specific forklift training and certification.

Qualifications

Required:

· Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

· Reliable attendance and punctuality.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Solid attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Ability to work in an indoor cultivation environment with varying temperatures and humidity.

· Ability to lift 50lbs, carry, and move equipment and materials as required.

Preferred, but not required:

· Previous maintenance, construction, manufacturing, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical experience.

· Experience with pumps, irrigation systems, HVAC systems, motors, or electrical equipment.

· Technical school, trade-school, or maintenance-related coursework.

· Experience working in a regulated production or manufacturing workplace.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods.

· Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as required by the position.

· Ability to work around water, humidity, dust, machinery, and cultivation-related odors.

· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
