Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized effectively to prevent the spread of germs and maintain infection control standards
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to facility protocols
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability
- Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to protect yourself and others
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisory staff
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and supply usage as required
Skills
- Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is highly preferred for efficiency and familiarity with cleaning protocols
- Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout shifts
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safety standards in a healthcare or similar environment is a plus
