Role

We are seeking an ESG & Corporate Communications Intern to join our Investor Relations & ESG Team. In this role, you will be responsible for working collaboratively across teams from corporate and site, as well as stakeholders, both internally and externally. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the clean energy sector.

The role is based at our Vancouver Office and reports to the Manager, Sustainability and Corporate Communications, and work closely with the VP, IR & ESG. Occasional travel to other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with internal departments to collect information, confirm details, and support the timely completion of communications deliverables.
- Assist with drafting and editing communications materials such as presentations, speaking notes, digital content, and key messages.
- Support the development of digital communications content, including social media copy, digital newsletters, and supporting graphics.
- Support website maintenance and updating content to reflect latest public disclosure.
- Support drafting social media, including media monitoring and reporting.
- Support the coordination and production of LAC’s 2026 ESG-S Report including: supporting the project management of the reporting process, ensuring alignment with reporting frameworks such as GRI and SASB and preparing data collection mechanisms.




- Assist in analyzing sustainability data for use in internal and external reports.
- Analyze ISS peer benchmarking and suggest recommendations to strengthen LAC's sustainability disclosure.
- Support key initiatives and conduct ad hoc research into ESG-related issues, including external ESG developments, peer actions, industry best practices and trends.
- Support with ad hoc projects as required.
- Builds and maintains trusted relationships across all teams while championing a culture that reflects and supports our Purpose, Vision, and Values
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

- Currently pursuing a degree in business, sustainability, communications or other business-related fields
- Interest in the mining and/or chemical industry with a passion for sustainability and social issues, and a belief in the importance of corporate actions to drive positive change
- Attention to detail and strong research and analytical skills
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs especially Excel
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change, in a quick-paced environment
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team
