Join the Esquimalt Recreation Centre as an Out of School Care Worker, helping children thrive in a supportive workplace. This role combines education with recreational leadership during after-school activities. The Township of Esquimalt is hiring for an auxiliary Out of School Care Leader to enrich children's lives through active engagement and care.
This position features varied responsibilities, including walking children between venues and leading exciting activities like games, crafts, and swimming. The right candidate will be skilled in child care basics, communication, and First Aid. Key Responsibilities:
- Walk children to and from Macaulay Elementary safely
- Organize and lead recreational activities after school
- Manage behavior and ensure parent communication
- Administer First Aid and medication when necessary
- Create and sustain a nurturing environment for children Requirements:
- Minimum 19 years of age
- Completed 20 hours of coursework in child development
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
