Overview

Our Firm is currently seeking an Estate Law Clerk to work with our team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, articulate, and a team-player, with a long-term interest in growth and development within the Firm. This individual will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in estate administration and/or estate litigation and will possess excellent organizational abilities and communication skills or be a graduate of a community college legal secretary program.

The individual will be driven to meet a high standard of excellence while working within a fast-paced, professional environment.

Responsibilities

· Provide administrative support to our legal team, including managing schedules and appointments.

· Preparation and filing of court documents, including probate applications, affidavits, etc.

· Doing client intake,

· Opening, maintaining, organizing, closing and billing out client files.

· Managing calendars, diarizing files and deadlines.





· Corresponding with clients, court staff, bank personnel and opposing counsel.

· Drafting correspondence and legal documents as directed by lawyers.

· Assist with overflow clerk work for other practice areas.

· Performing other administrative tasks as required.

Key Requirements

· A minimum of two (2) years of legal experience in Estates Law.

· Law Clerk certification from a recognized college or university.

· Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

· High level of professionalism and maintaining confidentiality.

· Access to reliable transportation to commute to and from the office.
