As a Registered Practical Nurse at Chartwell, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of our residents. Your clinical expertise, empathy, and commitment to a positive resident experience will help create a safe, welcoming workplace where residents feel supported, valued, and cared for every day.
Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the provincial College of Nurses standards, legislative requirements, and Chartwell policies Monitor residents’ health status, administer medications and treatments, and accurately document care Support residents during their transition into the residence, ensuring they and their families feel comfortable and informed Respond to resident or family concerns promptly, taking appropriate action or escalating as needed Collaborate with allied health professionals, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care Provide leadership and guidance to personal support workers and other care staff Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and continuous quality improvement initiatives Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff Current registration and in good standing with the provincial College of Nurses Current First Aid and CPR certification Experience working in care, retirement, or healthcare (an asset) Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with residents,
