The Executive
Director role at the BCIT FSA requires a seasoned leader with strong people skills and a commitment to advancing labor rights. You will oversee labor relations, manage strategic planning, and build constructive relationships with stakeholders. This role is pivotal in ensuring the wellbeing of faculty and staff through effective negotiation and advocacy efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate labor relations and administrative issues with BCIT
- Advise the FSA Board in strategic planning efforts
- Foster relationships with stakeholders and community partners
- Ensure education on collective agreements for FSA members
- Monitor sector trends affecting FSA member rights Requirements:
- Minimum five years in senior leadership roles
- Experience managing a unionized workforce
- Strong knowledge of labor relations practices
