IT International Telecom Inc. is a privately owned subsea network integrator that designs, installs, and maintains subsea telecommunications cable systems. The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials, equipment, services, and documentation required to support operational and project requirements. Ensures timely delivery of purchase orders by maintaining close communication with suppliers. This role works closely with Project Managers, procurement, accounting, and operational teams to support project execution and vessel operations.
In addition, the role will support the procurement team, with other tasks as required including receiving and shipment packaging during busy periods.
Job Functions
Expeditor and SAP support
- Support purchasing activities for subsea marine equipment, vessel consumables, offshore tools and project-specific materials.
- Maintain and update accurate procurement documentation through the procurement lifecycle using IT’s ERP system, SAP.
- Receiving (physical) updating GRN (Goods receipt Notes) in SAP.
- Assist with RFQ preparation and evaluation, cost and price negotiation
- Assist with sourcing and supplier selection.
- Expedite critical requirements and resolve supply chain issues to promote uninterrupted vessel operations.
- Track material, equipment, and service orders from placement through receipt.
- Support inventory planning and material availability initiatives.
- Ensure all shipping documents, including invoices,
packing lists, and certificates, are accurate and complete.
- Develop effective external relationships with suppliers to mitigate delay risk
- Resolve late deliveries and shortages
- Work collaboratively and explore creative problem solving within procurement and logistics team to drive timely delivery of materials and services
Other
- Packing & Warehouse Support to ensure all shipments are properly packed and labeled
- Assist with palletizing and securing equipment for transit as required
Qualifications or Requirements
- 1–3 years experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination, construction, marine, shipbuilding, industrial, or project-based environments.
- Engaged and motivated team player with a can-do attitude
- Knowledge of procurement lifecycle and materials management
- Experience in buying and expediting
- Experience with inventorying and tracking of equipment.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Strong communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced project environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and HS Codes (preferred)
