The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Journeyperson Service Plumber to join our Kelowna, BC team.

This is a service-focused role for a plumber who can confidently diagnose problems, complete repairs, communicate clearly with customers and take ownership of each job from start to finish.

This role will focus on residential and commercial service work and will involve diagnosing, servicing and repairing plumbing systems, along with troubleshooting specialized mechanical systems including hydronic heating, boilers, glycol and geothermal systems. Service work may also include wineries and other commercial and specialized facilities.

You'll work independently in customers' homes and commercial facilities while taking responsibility for the quality, documentation and completion of your assigned service work.

What You'll Do

- Diagnose, service and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot hydronic heating, boiler, glycol and geothermal systems




- Perform plumbing service and maintenance for wineries and other commercial facilities
- Explain findings, repair options and recommendations clearly to customers
- Prepare accurate job notes, estimates, invoices and material lists
- Identify additional repairs and preventative maintenance opportunities
- Install, service, repair and maintain applicable plumbing and mechanical systems
- Read and interpret applicable drawings, specifications, manuals and work orders
- Troubleshoot and identify issues appropriate to your experience and certification level
- Complete work in accordance with applicable codes, regulations and Total standards
- Maintain accurate job documentation and required paperwork
- Communicate job progress, deficiencies, additional work and concerns
- Coordinate with dispatch, customers, supervisors and other trades as applicable
- Maintain company tools, equipment, service vehicles and work areas
- Follow company safety policies and procedures
- Participate in the on-call rotation as required
- Represent Total professionally with customers, contractors and other trades
- Support and contribute to the overall success of the team

What We're Looking For

- Journeyperson Plumber certification
- Valid BC driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Proven plumbing service and troubleshooting experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience working independently in customers' homes and commercial facilities
- Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes, regulations and safe work practices
- Strong professional communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable using mobile applications for job documentation
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned service calls
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Organized and accountable for assigned work
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Willingness to continue learning and developing technical skills
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

Experience That Would Be an Asset Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:

- Boilers and hydronic heating systems
- Glycol systems




- Geothermal systems
- Wineries and specialized commercial facilities
- Commercial plumbing and mechanical systems
- Gas systems and gas certification
- Preventative maintenance and service programs
- Mobile service and job documentation applications
