About Us - Mennonite Seniors Housing Network (MSHN) operates Bethel Place (445 Stafford St.) and Autumn House (790 Wellington Ave.), serving older adults through a faith-based mission and a holistic care model. We are seeking a dedicated, highly skilled Facilities Manager to join our team and oversee our building operations, maintenance staff, and capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Capital & Project Management: Lead short- and long-term capital plans, manage contractor relationships, and oversee building renovation and improvement projects.
- Operations & Grounds: Direct day-to-day maintenance, suite turnovers, annual inspections, and seasonal vendor contracts (HVAC, elevators, snow removal, lawn care).
- Safety & Compliance: Oversee building security, emergency response procedures, fire safety compliance, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) protocols.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and support maintenance staff, providing hands-on assistance and after-hours support when needed.

Qualifications





- Grade 12 completion (or equivalent) required; post-secondary education or WSH certification preferred.
- 5+ years in facility maintenance/management, including 1+ years in a supervisory role.
- Solid technical understanding of major building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural).
- Knowledge of Manitoba building codes, WSH legislation, and emergency preparedness.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and crisis-response skills.

Requirement

- Satisfactory City of Winnipeg Police Information Check.
- Valid WHMIS certification.
