Duties
- Deliver comprehensive fashion design lessons tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels
- Develop innovative curriculum plans that incorporate current trends, techniques, and industry standards
- Guide students through the entire design process, from concept sketching to fabric selection and garment construction
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages experimentation, collaboration, and critical thinking
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their technical skills and artistic expression
- Incorporate related activities such as styling sessions, portfolio development, and fashion history discussions
- Support students’ overall growth by integrating elements of early childhood education and hands-on learning experiences
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fashion design, tutoring, or teaching within an educational setting
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage children and young learners effectively
- Knowledge of sewing, pattern making, fabric selection, and garment construction techniques
- Experience working with children or in early childhood education environments is highly desirable
- Ability to create fun, interactive lessons that inspire creativity and foster skill development
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for mentoring aspiring designers
- Additional skills such as cooking or other arts-related activities are a plus but not required
