We are a rapidly growing CNC machine shop in the Durham region, offering a great career opportunity for a CNC Fiber Laser Programmer/Operator to join our team. Opportunities for our flat bed laser and tube laser available.

POSITION SUMMARY:

You will set up and operate our C.N.C Fiber laser machine, performing various machine operations. You will also qualify all drawing dimensions as being correct and complete per drawing.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Machine components to meet or exceed standards
- Safety conscious
- Responsible for troubleshooting programming problems on the machine
- Record all dimensions as machined on drawings
- Report any non-conformance dimensions on drawings or machines to Lead Hand
- Operate machinery/equipment and work in a safe manner
- Maintain a clean and neat work area and surrounding area
- Assist with other tasks, projects, and departments as required




- Carry out tasks/activities according to company & safety policies, standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- CNC Fiber Laser Operator with minimum 5 years’ experience preferred
- Blueprint reading skills
- Able to do own machine setups and programming
- Other machine shop skills is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated, willing to be trained
- Mazak Fiber Laser experience an asset
- BLM Fiber Laser experience an asset
- BLM Tube Laser experience an asset
- Forklift license an asset
