Role Description The Field Service Technician and Driver is a full-time, in office role based in Edmonton, AB. This role involves safely operating company vehicles to deliver products to customer sites, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

The technician supports customer facilities by installing, servicing, and maintaining Fastenal equipment and supply solutions, such as vending systems or inventory management setups. Daily tasks may include loading and unloading materials, verifying shipment details, performing basic mechanical or technical checks,



and communicating with customers and the local branch team to resolve service issues. The role also requires adherence to safety procedures, completion of service documentation, and collaboration with coworkers to meet service and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and strong road safety awareness.
- Basic mechanical, technical, or equipment maintenance skills, with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues on-site.
- Customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients and internal team members.
- Organizational skills for route planning, time management, and accurate documentation of deliveries and service work.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving industrial products safely.
- Familiarity with inventory management, warehouse operations, or field service work is an asset.
- Comfort using handheld devices or basic computer systems to track orders, update service records, and follow work instructions.
- Commitment to workplace safety, reliability, and working in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in transportation, logistics, or industrial supply environments is beneficial.
