Position Overview
TAC Sports is seeking a full-time Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship Camp Instructor to lead an engaging and interactive summer camp program focused on money management, business fundamentals, and entrepreneurial thinking. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has an interest in financial literacy and entrepreneurship, and can create a fun, supportive, and inspiring learning workplace.
This week-long program introduces campers to the core principles of money and business through interactive lessons, games, and challenges. Campers explore the meaning and history of money, the five principles of money—earning, spending, saving, investing, and giving—and foundational topics such as taxes, real estate, and capitalism. Throughout the week, participants apply their learning by developing their own business ideas and presenting them at the end of the program.
Key Responsibilities
Lead camp sessions in a safe, engaging, and age-appropriate environment
Teach financial literacy concepts such as earning, spending, saving, investing, giving, taxes, real estate, and basic economics
Introduce entrepreneurship concepts through interactive lessons, discussions, games, and hands-on challenges
Guide campers in developing creative business ideas and applying key financial principles to their projects
Foster critical thinking, teamwork, confidence, and problem-solving through group activities and presentations
Support campers in preparing for an end-of-week presentation showcasing their business ideas
Create an inclusive and encouraging environment that makes learning about finance and entrepreneurship fun and accessible
Supervise campers throughout activities, transitions, and breaks to ensure safety and positive behaviour
Assist with daily camp setup, cleanup, material preparation, and activity organization
Build positive relationships with campers, families, and TAC Sports staff
Follow TAC Sports’ program plans, safety procedures, and child supervision standards at all times
Qualifications
Experience working with children in camps, education, recreation, tutoring, or youth programs
Interest in financial literacy, business, entrepreneurship, or economics
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
Energetic, patient, and confident leading groups in a camp or classroom-style setting
Ability to make financial and business concepts engaging, practical, and easy to understand for children
Background in business, education, economics, finance, recreation, or a related field is an asset
First Aid/CPR certification and Vulnerable Sector Check, or willingness to obtain them, preferred
