Job Summary

We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented Fire Protection Estimator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for fire protection systems across a variety of construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are financially viable while meeting all safety and code requirements.

Responsibilities

- Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to develop comprehensive fire protection system estimates.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and scope adjustments.
- Analyze project requirements to determine labor, material, equipment costs, and installation timelines.
- Prepare bid packages, submit estimates, and track bid status throughout the procurement process.
- Assist in project management by coordinating with teams to ensure estimates align with project budgets and schedules.




- Maintain accurate records of all estimating activities, including revisions, correspondence, and supporting documentation.

Requirements

- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on fire protection systems or related trades.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and fire protection code requirements.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital markup and document management.
- Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with construction pricing strategies and cost analysis techniques.

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
