Aragon Properties Ltd. is looking for two experienced Finishing Carpenters to join our construction team at our Cook Street mixed-use development in Victoria, BC.

This 49-unit mixed-use project is entering the finishing stages, and we are looking for skilled carpenters who take pride in quality workmanship, have a strong eye for detail and can work efficiently as part of an experienced construction team.

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Finishing Carpenters will be responsible for a variety of interior finishing, installation and deficiency work required to bring suites and common areas through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform high-quality finishing carpentry throughout residential units and common areas.

· Install interior doors, door frames, baseboards, casing, trim and mouldings.

· Install and adjust door hardware, handles, locks and other finish hardware.

· Install shelving, millwork and other interior finishing components as required.

· Complete accurate measuring, cutting, fitting and installation of finish materials.

· Perform adjustments, repairs, touch-ups and deficiency work to ensure completed work meets Aragon's quality standards.

· Identify and correct finishing deficiencies prior to homeowner turnover.

· Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.





· Coordinate work with Site Superintendents, other carpenters and trades to maintain project schedules.

· Protect completed finishes and maintain clean and organized work areas.

· Safely operate hand tools, power tools and other carpentry equipment.

· Follow all site safety requirements and company procedures.

· Assist with other skilled carpentry work as required to support completion of the project.

Qualifications

· Minimum 3–5 years of carpentry experience, with strong experience in finishing carpentry.

· Demonstrated experience installing doors, trim, baseboards, mouldings, hardware and other interior finishes.

· Previous experience on multi-family residential or condominium projects is strongly preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications.

· Strong measuring, cutting, fitting and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

· Ability to work independently and efficiently while also working well as part of a site team.

· Own basic carpentry hand tools.

· Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining project schedules.

· Red Seal Carpenter certification or completion of a recognized carpentry apprenticeship is an asset but not required.
