Take the lead in Indigenous housing solutions as the Manager at First Light, focusing on inclusive and culturally responsive initiatives. Drive operational excellence in housing programs aimed at uplifting Indigenous communities.
As the Manager of Indigenous Housing and Inclusion, you will offer strategic oversight for First Light’s housing services, including transitional and affordable housing initiatives. Your collaborative leadership style will empower staff and promote solid partnerships with community stakeholders. This role requires a balance of operational management and a commitment to addressing systemic barriers faced by Indigenous people in housing contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee operational effectiveness of housing programs • Ensure culturally safe and trauma-informed services • Build partnerships with various housing entities • Guide staff development and program cohesion • Address emerging housing challenges collaboratively
Requirements: • Education in Social Work, Indigenous Studies, or equivalent • Experience managing housing or community service programs • Strong relational and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation • Current driver’s licence and First Aid/CPR certification
