About the Role

Pledge Transport Inc. is looking for a motivated and results-driven Freight Broker to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in freight brokerage, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with carriers and customers across the Canada markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new customers, shippers, and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a robust network of reliable carriers.
- Coordinate freight shipments between customers and carriers.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates and transportation terms.
- Source and book carriers for available loads.
- Manage load details, pickup and delivery schedules, and shipment requirements.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal teams throughout the shipment process.
- Monitor shipments and resolve delays, service issues, or other transportation challenges.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and carriers.
- Generate new business through sales calls, emails,



networking, and other outreach methods.
- Work with freight lanes across both Canada.
- Maintain accurate shipment and customer information.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker, Freight Agent, Logistics Sales Representative, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of freight brokerage and transportation operations.
- Established carrier network is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and rate-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong sales and business-development abilities.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and results-driven.
- Ability to manage multiple loads and priorities at the same time.
- Experience working with Canadian freight markets is preferred.
