ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Workland is offering a 3-month internship as a Front-End Web Developer, open to students currently enrolled in a recognized Computer Science program. You will work in close collaboration with the supervisor of the web development team to contribute to the full scope of front-end development activities — with hours flexible enough to fit around your schooling and personal commitments.

The internship can be credited toward your program of study, and students who perform well are welcome to return for a second internship term. This internship may be paid for students enrolled in a recognized credited program who are eligible for a government internship subsidy — compensation details are confirmed during the interview process.

JOB SUMMARY

As Front-End Developer, you'll help create attractive, seamless designs that enhance the user experience — contributing to building the future of web development alongside a dynamic, expanding team.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Feature Development: Create and develop new features on the front-end.
- Maintenance: Maintain and improve current features and the overall look of the websites.
- Code Quality: Assist in the code reviewing process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other team members and the web development supervisor.
- Problem-Solving: Identify problems and risks,



and help find solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Currently enrolled in a DEC, AEC, Certificate, or Bachelor's program in Computer Science or a related field, or eligible to take part in an internship program approved by the Ministry of Education.
- Excellent knowledge of ReactJS 18, JavaScript (ES2015/ES6 ), HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and Bootstrap 5 / responsive web design.
- Bilingual — able to communicate in both English and French.
- Working knowledge of accessibility (basic WCAG), Redux/Redux Toolkit, AngularJS 1, SCSS/SASS, Webpack/Rollup, or Docker is an asset.
