Become an integral part of Jean Tweed Centre as a Full time Aftercare Counsellor, supporting women's recovery from substance use in a hybrid work setting. Lead aftercare groups and connect clients with key resources to enhance their journey. This 18-month contract position requires you to provide evidence-based group sessions and follow-up support for clients transitioning from intensive treatment.
By monitoring recovery progress and reducing isolation, you'll promote a supportive community for women. The position involves partnership with external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and effective intervention. Key Responsibilities:
- Launch weekly aftercare groups tailored for clients
- Conduct follow-ups to monitor recovery and identify risks
- Identify and connect clients to community supports
- Collaborate with other service providers for effective interventions
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress Requirements:
- Master’s degree in relevant social sciences
- Current registration with the appropriate regulatory body
- Minimum 3 years working in mental health or substance use
- Skills in group facilitation and program development
