Infant ECE Teacher

About the Position
ELFi First School is looking for a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Infant ECE Teacher to join our team.
We are looking for an educator who truly enjoys working with infants and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and develop. The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in their profession and is looking to build a long-term career in Early Childhood Education.
Compensation
- ECE: $21.00/hour $6.00/hour WE
- ECEA: $19.00/hour $6.00/hour WE
- Employee benefits available after successful completion of the probationary period
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Valid BC ECE or ECEA certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in Canadian licensed group child care
- Experience working with infants is required
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong communication skills with children, families, and coworkers
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
- Must be available to work within our centre hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check as required by Child Care Licensing
- Good understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Reliable, responsible, and professional
- Able to work effectively as part of a team

- The in-class observation allows us to see how candidates interact with children, follow classroom expectations, and work as part of a teaching team.
