We are looking for a reliable and responsible General Building Maintenance Worker to assist with the regular maintenance and upkeep of our commercial and residential properties in the Moncton area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing routine maintenance, minor repairs, property upkeep, and seasonal maintenance at multiple properties.
Main Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and general upkeep of buildings and surrounding areas.
- Inspect properties and report maintenance issues that require attention.
- Complete minor repairs to doors, walls, fixtures, and other building components.
- Perform basic painting, touch-ups, drywall repairs, and general property maintenance.
- Carry out routine maintenance of equipment and maintenance tools.
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants, occupants, and business staff.
- Maintain common areas, entrances, walkways, and exterior areas as required.
- Perform seasonal maintenance, including snow removal from entrances and walkways.
- Keep maintenance tools, equipment,
and supplies organized and in good condition.
- Report major or specialized repairs to the supervisor/owner and assist with arranging qualified tradespeople when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in general building maintenance or a related field is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and minor repairs.
- Ability to use common hand tools and maintenance equipment safely.
- Ability to work independently and manage routine maintenance tasks.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing, walking, and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- A reliable and responsible approach to work.
