Willingdon Seed Cleaning Co-operative Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hard-working General Labourer to join our team for a short-term position. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to earn some quick, hands-on work in an outdoor/industrial setting.
Willingdon Seed Cleaning Co-operative is a farmer-owned agricultural co-operative serving producers in the Willingdon and surrounding area. Our facility provides seed cleaning and related services to local farms and operates with a small, hands-on team. This short-term role will assist with general upkeep, cleaning, and maintenance around the facility and grounds.
Term: 3–5 days
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Start Date: Monday, September 21 (or until a suitable applicant is found)
Location: 2 miles east of Willingdon on Highway 45
Pay: Dependent on experience
Duties include:
- Sweeping, cleaning, and organizing shop and screens
- Grounds maintenance (e.g., pulling weeds)
- Light maintenance duties (depending on ability)
- Painting
- General site cleanup to keep the workspace tidy and secure
- Other general duties as assigned
Requirements:
- No prior experience required; willingness to work hard and follow instructions
- Steel-toed boots required
- Weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor work
- Comfortable climbing ladders and working in dusty environments
- Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Reliable transportation to the facility
Considered an asset:
- Agriculture or farm experience
- Skid steer experience
- General maintenance experience
