Trillium Ford Lincoln Ltd. located at 506168 Hwy. 89 in Shelburne is looking for a dependable and hands-on General Labourer / Shop Maintenance Worker to help maintain our automotive service facility.

Wage: $19.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, can handle a variety of tasks, and takes pride in keeping a shop clean, organized, safe, and running properly. Automotive or mechanical experience is an asset, but we are also willing to consider someone with general maintenance, construction, farming, welding, or similar hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Remove garbage, scrap metal, cardboard, used materials, and other waste from the shop daily
- Sweep, clean, and maintain shop floors and work areas
- Keep the service shop clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on automotive hoists and shop equipment
- Paint and maintain shop equipment, walls, work areas, and other items as required
- Inspect and repair shop air lines, fittings, and hoses when required
- Restock wheel weights and supplies at tire machines
- Keep tire machines and related equipment clean and organized
- Move tools and equipment to and from the tool/storage trailer
- Keep the tool trailer organized and assist with maintaining an inventory of tools and equipment
- Monitor inventory levels of oxygen, acetylene, welding gas, and other shop tanks
- Arrange or notify management when replacement tanks or supplies are required
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on shop equipment
- Assist with basic welding or fabrication repairs when qualified to do so




- Keep the outside lot clean and organized
- Help keep vehicles properly parked and arranged throughout the dealership lot
- Clean up garbage and debris around the exterior of the dealership
- Monitor bulk oil tank levels and notify management when oil inventory is getting low
- Monitor waste oil levels and notify management before tanks reach capacity
- Drain and empty used-oil collection bins as required using proper procedures
- Assist with seasonal shop and property maintenance
- Complete other general maintenance, cleaning, and labour duties as assigned by management

What We Are Looking For The successful candidate should:
- Be dependable and able to work with limited supervision
- Be comfortable working in an automotive shop environment
- Be mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Have positive organizational skills
- Be able to identify maintenance or safety concerns and bring them to management’s attention
- Be physically capable of lifting, moving, bending, and performing general labour duties throughout the day
- Have a strong focus on workplace safety and cleanliness
- Have a valid driver’s licence and be comfortable moving vehicles around the dealership property
- Be willing to learn and take on different tasks as required

Experience with automotive equipment, hoists, air systems, welding, fabrication, building maintenance, or mechanical repairs would be considered an asset. Job Type: Full-time
