Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead Chinook Cannabis. This leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff and inventory, driving sales, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will bring strong retail management skills, a passion for cannabis culture, and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Duties

- Lead all store operations, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service excellence
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff to ensure high performance and engagement
- Manage budgeting, payroll processing, cash handling, and reporting to maintain operational health
- Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and store merchandising to optimize sales opportunities
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones




- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to cannabis retailing and store policies
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, coaching, and leadership
- Execute on-site activations at large scale events and festivals

Qualifications

- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail or similar customer-focused environments
- Proven ability to drive revenue through operational retail excellence
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail sales management
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and customers
- Experience with recruiting, training & development, and team management strategies
- Competency in budgeting, payroll processing, and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills paired with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a passion for fostering a collaborative work setting
