You will play a key role in delivering high-quality model delivery and coordination across individual projects.
Working closely with design teams, consultants, and construction partners, you will support alignment across disciplines, address coordination challenges, and help keep projects progressing smoothly and predictably. In this role, you will continue developing your leadership capability and deepen your technical judgment through hands‑on involvement in complex projects. Act as the primary BIM point of contact for the project team, coordinating with Project Managers/Engineers, and BIM Leaders as required. Support project start‑up activities, including review and implementation of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP),
project templates, and agreed workflows. Monitor project BIM deliverables to ensure timely, accurate, and coordinated information delivery at defined milestones.
Develop and maintain complex discipline‑specific BIM models using Autodesk Revit across all project phases. Review, validate, and coordinate model content produced by BIM Technician I and II staff for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project standards.
Information
Management and Standards Implementation Implement project‑specific information management requirements in alignment with ISO 19650 principles and Smith + Andersen BIM standards. Ensure models achieve required Levels of Development (LOD) and Levels of Information Need (LOIN) at each project stage. Enforce naming conventions, model structures, shared parameters, and data requirements as defined in the BEP.
Coordinate information exchanges and model submissions in accordance with agreed project workflows. Proactively identify, track, and support the resolution of clashes and coordination issues with architectural, structural, and other disciplines. Document coordination issues, decisions, and resolutions to support traceability and quality assurance.
Quality
Assurance and Risk Management Apply structured QA/QC processes to models and drawing outputs prior to issue. Review BIM deliverables for compliance with Smith + Andersen standards, project requirements, and applicable codes. Identify BIM‑related risks to coordination, constructability, schedule, or information quality and elevate as required.
Provide day‑to‑day technical guidance and mentorship to BIM Technician I and II staff assigned to the project. Support onboarding of project BIM staff and reinforce approved workflows and modeling standards. Contribute to project lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Expert‑level proficiency in Autodesk Revit and discipline‑specific BIM workflows. Strong understanding of building systems, installation practices, and interdisciplinary coordination. Demonstrated experience leading BIM delivery on complex projects.
Strong working knowledge of BIM Execution Plans, ISO 19650 principles, and Common Data Environments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across project teams. Strong organizational skills, accountability, and ability to manage competing project priorities.
