We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Specialist to lead and support our client's Health & Safety programs across warehouse and facility operations. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting workplace assessments, and partnering with operational teams to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Health & Safety programs.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety best practices.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify and reduce risks.
- Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
- Coordinate employee safety training, orientations, and certification requirements.
- Maintain health and safety records, documentation, and compliance reporting.
- Support Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
activities and safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety legislation and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Health & Safety experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Health & Safety certifications or designations are considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic reporting/documentation systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between company facilities as required.
- Primarily day shifts with occasional evenings or weekends based on business needs.
