Katabatic HVAC is a growing HVAC company serving Whistler and the surrounding Sea-to-Sky area. We are looking for a motivated and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning of residential and light commercial HVAC and heat pump systems.

Responsibilities:

- Install, service, maintain and troubleshoot HVAC and heat pump systems
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigeration-related issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Complete refrigerant piping, system charging and commissioning
- Perform electrical connections and controls troubleshooting within the scope of the trade
- Read and interpret equipment specifications, manuals and drawings
- Complete service reports and document work performed
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide quality service
- Follow all applicable safety requirements, codes and manufacturer specifications

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as an HVAC Technician, Refrigeration Mechanic or equivalent
- HVAC/R trade certification or relevant technical training and experience
- Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with heat pumps and residential HVAC equipment is an asset




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to work safely and professionally in residential and commercial environments

Employment Details:

- Full-time, permanent position
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Location: Whistler, BC
- Wage: $35-60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
