SyncAir Heating and Cooling Inc. is a growing residential HVAC company serving Peterborough and surrounding areas. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Junior HVAC Technician to join our team.

Position: Junior HVAC Technician

Job Type: Full time, permanent

Location: Peterborough, ON and surrounding areas

Schedule: Monday–Saturday, depending on workload

Experience: Entry-level to 1 year preferred

Responsibilities

- Assist with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential HVAC equipment.
- Assist with servicing and maintaining: Furnaces, Air conditioners, Heat pumps, Ductless mini-split systems, Water heaters and tankless water heaters, Boilers, humidifiers, and other HVAC accessories.
- Assist with refrigerant piping, copper work, ductwork, gas piping, electrical connections, and condensate systems.
- Help diagnose HVAC issues and learn proper troubleshooting procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Load, unload, and organize tools and materials.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures, codes, and manufacturer requirements.
- Provide professional and respectful service to customers.
- Complete basic job documentation and service reports.
- Perform other duties related to HVAC installation and service as required.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 15 kg (33 lbs), bending, squatting, and kneeling as required, and working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including dusty or slippery environments.

What We're Looking For:
- Previous HVAC experience or currently enrolled in an HVAC apprenticeship program is an asset.
- G2 gas technician certification is required.




- OPD certification is required.
- OBT-2 or other relevant certifications are an asset.
- Valid G-level driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and tools
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to lift equipment and materials and work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and other residential environments.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required.
