Our large enterprise client is seeking an IAM - Authentication & Access Control Specialist to lead the development of policies, review current processes, and improve standards.
This is an initial contract to January 29, 2027, with a strong possibility of extension. The successful candidate can follow a remote working model within MST hours of operation.
Must-Haves:
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity risk and compliance
- Experience developing cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and governance documentation
- Experience with authentication, access control, identity lifecycle management, and privileged access management
- Experience conducting risk assessments, control reviews, and compliance evaluations
- Experience supporting IT General Controls (ITGCs), audit activities, control testing, and control automation
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SailPoint, ServiceNow and enterprise authentication technologies
- Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and related security standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of enterprise authentication policies, standards, and supporting documentation
- Review current authentication and access control practices across the organization
- Assess authentication-related exceptions, non-compliance, and risk acceptance decisions
- Identify control gaps and recommend remediation activities and compensating controls
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT Compliance, and Application teams to gather requirements and validate findings
- Support the development of authentication governance processes and exception management practices
- Align authentication requirements with industry frameworks and leading practices
