Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated In-Person Elementary and Chemistry, Biology / Science Tutor to inspire and support students in their academic journey. This role involves providing personalized tutoring sessions to elementary students as well as high school students studying chemistry, biology, and general science. The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment, foster curiosity, and help students achieve their educational goals through engaging instruction and tailored support.

Responsibilities
- Deliver in-person tutoring sessions for elementary students, focusing on foundational subjects such as math, reading, and writing.
- Provide specialized instruction in chemistry, biology, and general science to high school students preparing for exams or needing additional support.
- Assess each student’s learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement to tailor lessons effectively.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate interactive activities, visual aids, and real-world applications to enhance understanding.
- Track student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods to maximize learning outcomes.
- Foster a supportive and motivating environment that encourages questions and active participation.
- Communicate with parents or guardians about student progress and areas for further development.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting.
- Strong knowledge of elementary subjects including math and reading comprehension.
- Expertise in chemistry, biology, or general science at the high school level.
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently.
- Proficiency with computer skills to utilize educational software or digital resources during sessions.
- Classroom experience or background in special education is a plus for addressing diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with computer science concepts can enhance the use of technology in tutoring sessions.
