Join the North West Friendship Centre as an Indigenous Mental Health Wellness Coordinator, focusing on culturally informed mental health services. This role is critical in delivering trauma-informed care to the community. As a coordinator, you will assess clients' needs and create treatment plans reflecting Indigenous cultures and healing practices.

This position emphasizes individual and group therapy sessions, as well as connections to external resources. Demonstrating self-motivation is essential for success in this autonomous role. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine mental health needs
- Implement tailored treatment plans that honor traditional practices
- Facilitate individual and group therapy tailored to client backgrounds
- Connect clients with traditional healers and cultural practices
- Plan workshops on mental health topics to build client resilience Requirements:
- Preferably a Bachelor's in psychology or social work
- Experience working with Indigenous populations is essential
- Familiarity with Indigenous traditions and cultural healing methods Foster mental health wellness by bridging traditional healing and up-to-date therapeutic practices for Indigenous communities.
