Join the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre as a Remote Caseworker for the Indigenous Peoples' Court.
Your role will empower Indigenous clients on their healing journey and ensure access to necessary services. As a full time Caseworker, you'll oversee case management and guide clients following the court's healing recommendations. This position demands a deep understanding of Indigenous culture and the judicial system while providing crucial support within the community. You'll engage in direct client services and referrals to aid clients timely. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cases for Indigenous clients attending court
- Assist clients in understanding and executing healing plans
- Coordinate with community services for timely support
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Ensure accurate and confidential record management Requirements:
- University degree or diploma in Social Services
- 2 years' experience in social or justice services
- Comprehensive knowledge of Indigenous practices and law
- Skilled in crisis intervention and communication
