The Indigenous Midwifery

Program at WNHAC is seeking a dedicated midwife to provide prenatal and postpartum support to families. You will facilitate comprehensive care, monitoring health plans, and addressing the unique needs of Indigenous populations. This role involves both clinic-based services and outreach to First Nations communities, fostering a cooperative health care environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver wholistic prenatal and postnatal care
- Coordinate health services and follow up as needed
- Consult interprofessional teams for comprehensive care
- Support community health promotion and disease prevention
- Keep accurate medical records for accountability Requirements:
- Registration eligibility with the College of Ontario Midwives
- Completion of an accredited Midwifery program
- Certification in CPR and NRP
- Experience in holistic care and Indigenous settings
- Willingness to travel for community outreach Support Indigenous families and enriching health care practices as a midwife with WNHAC in a beautiful location.
