- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces for painting, ensuring proper surface profile for coating adhesion
- Mix and apply paints, primers, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray guns with precision and consistency
- Set up and operate cranes, forklifts, and power tools safely to move materials and equipment around the work area
- Perform routine maintenance on sandblasting and painting machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Use hand tools and welding equipment as needed for surface repairs or assembly tasks

Qualifications

- Prior experience in industrial painting or sandblasting within a manufacturing or heavy industry setting preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, cranes, forklifts, and welding equipment safely
- Basic math skills for measuring coatings and calculating material quantities accurately




- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction
- Knowledge of machining processes and assembly techniques is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to sandblasting, painting, welding, and equipment operation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
