Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Painter who will be responsible for completing painting and finishing activities while ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements are met. The role involves operating automated painting equipment, preparing paint and materials, maintaining equipment, and following all applicable safety and quality procedures.
Duties:
- Coordinate and complete assigned job orders while meeting production schedules and quality targets.
- Operate sophisticated automated spray-painting equipment to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes.
- Select, prepare, and mix paints according to predetermined formulas and specifications.
- Ensure painted products meet customer requirements, specifications,
and quality standards.
- Inspect finished products for defects, coverage, colour, and overall finish.
- Clean, maintain, and properly store painting equipment and tools.
- Clean and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company requirements.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock of paint, tape, chemicals, and other painting materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe painting work area.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2-3 years of experience as an industrial painter or spray painter is an asset.
- Experience operating automated or industrial painting equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of paint preparation, mixing, application, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and production requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work safely with paints, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
