Title: Instrument Technician

Work Schedule: approx. 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Job Summary: This role supports warehouse and production operations by performing detailed assembly, calibration, and repair of pressure and temperature instrumentation to meet quality and delivery requirements. The position involves using hand tools, blueprints, templates, and measuring devices to assemble, verify, and troubleshoot components while maintaining accurate production and quality documentation. The incumbent works safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment, maintaining a clean workspace and contributing to team objectives as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

· Calibration of pressure and temperature instrumentation (both mechanical & analog), of parts and equipment, and adhering to manufacturer’s specifications.

· Light assembly work of pressure & temperature instrumentation.

· Repair work on an assortment of pressure and temperature products, system components or faulty pieces. This may include sensors and transmitters.





· Test the functionality of the product/assemblies and instruments to identify problems using hydraulic and electronic testing equipment and measuring tools.

- Follows assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Completes test and maintenance reports and carries out preventative maintenance tasks.
- Documents work order report in the ERP system
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Travel to customer’s location may be required from time to time to install measurements and control products on new and old machinery.

· Consult with and advise process operators.

· Other duties as required.

Qualifications Required

· Technician with instrumentation experience or exposure required.

· 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position.

· Diploma or certificate in Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.

· Strong mechanical aptitude.

· Understanding hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics.

· Experience in soldering and brazing.

· Third- or fourth-year Instrumentation Technician Apprentices, preferred

· Ability to TIG weld would be an asset.

· Working knowledge of diaphragm seal pressure assembly procedures.

· Ability to communicate and follow verbal or written instruction.

· Fluent in both verbal and written English.

· Ability to work well on a team





Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

· Perform precise work requiring manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

· Frequently stand, walk, bend, and handle tools and instrumentation.

· Use visual acuity for reading measurements, gauges, calibration marks, and detailed assembly work.

· Occasionally lift, carry, and move parts or equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.

· Work in a shop environment with exposure to tools, equipment, and occasional heat during welding or brazing.

· Occasionally travel to customer locations, which may involve loading/unloading and setup of equipment.

· Ability to use hand tools.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
