We are seeking a full-time, permanent IYS Site Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of the Labrador Site in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, a welcoming space serving youth aged 12–29.

POSITION SUMMARY The IYS Site Coordinator ensures the smooth operation of the site by acting as the first point of contact for youth and community members, coordinating interdisciplinary services, supporting clinical and community partnerships, and ensuring site safety and administrative efficiency. This role requires strong organizational, coordination and interpersonal skills, with a focus on youth-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally secure practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Site Coordination & Operations

· Serve as the first point of contact for youth, caregivers, and community members. · Ensure the site is safe, inclusive, and welcoming, with a youth-friendly environment.

· Lead coordination across mental health clinicians, peer support workers, primary care providers, and community partners.

· Manage daily operations, room scheduling, and service bookings using internal systems.

· Organize and document regular team and site meetings.

· Monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety, risk management, and privacy standards.

· Coordinate and supervise staff scheduling and programming.

· Support the onboarding and supervision of staff, including participation in hiring, evaluation, and professional development.

· Promote a positive team environment through continuous learning, effective communication, and staff appreciation initiatives.

2. Youth & Family Navigation

· Triage inquiries from youth, families, and partners, offering guidance and linking them to required services.

· Facilitate warm handoffs and smooth communication between youth, service providers, and internal teams.

· Support caregiver engagement and promote youth voices in service delivery.

3. Program & Community Development

· Support the design and delivery of mental health, substance use, primary care,



and early intervention programs.

· Coordinate peer support and culturally responsive programming, including assessing evolving community needs.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with health authorities, Indigenous partners, schools, and local service providers.

· Contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration, local governance, and relevant Communities of Practice.

4. Medical & Clinic Coordination

· Act as the primary point of contact between medical providers and regional health authorities, coordinating appointments and ensuring that relevant information is communicated to staff and youth

· Establish and maintain positive working relationships with community partners, health services and Indigenous partners.

· Manage shared Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and privacy.

· Organize and participate in clinic operations meetings with staff, providers, and health leaders.

5. Administrative & IT Support

· Monitor inventory and distribute supplies, including IT equipment and office materials.

· Provide IT onboarding and troubleshoot basic tech issues with support from off-site IT teams.

· Support effective data collection, reporting, and evaluation practices.

6. Facilities & Safety

· Oversee building maintenance, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.

· Act as the OH&S; lead, maintaining compliance and conducting regular safety reviews.

· Coordinate building maintenance, vendor relationships and facility supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Diploma or degree in Social Services, Health Administration,



Community Services or related field.

· At least 2 years of experience in youth, community, or health/social service settings.

· Knowledge of rural/remote service delivery is an asset.

· Knowledge of Indigenous culture and working with Indigenous peoples.

· Experience supervising staff and coordinating interdisciplinary teams.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general IT systems.

· A satisfactory certificate of conduct and vulnerable sector check is required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role operates within a dynamic and collaborative setting, requiring the ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. The Site Coordinator must be able to work with a diverse population of youth, staff, and community members, providing support in a professional and compassionate manner. Flexibility, resilience, and strong problem-solving skills are essential,

For success in this role this role may involve travel to attend meetings, conduct site visits, and engage in in-person collaboration with team members.
