Hiring Intermediate IT Business Analyst – Data & Business Intelligence in Edmonton, Alberta, 100% Remote

Stafingo is hiring for their client in Edmonton, Alberta, for an experienced Intermediate IT Business Analyst to support strategic data initiatives, business intelligence capabilities, and the development of analytical data products and services.

This is a 100% remote chance within Canada, with the possibility of up to 15% onsite meetings in Edmonton.

Position Details :

- Position: Intermediate IT Business Analyst – Data & Business Intelligence
- Location: Edmonton, Alberta – 100% Remote
- Contract: October 5th, 2026 – April 30th, 2027
- Extension: Up to 6 additional months
- Pay Range: $70/hr T4 – $85/hr INC
- Maximum Bill Rate: $112.97/hr
- Openings: Up to 3 resources
- Submission Deadline: Friday, September 18th at 5:00 PM
- Background Check: Criminal record and credit check required

Key Responsibilities

- Support strategic data initiatives and business intelligence projects.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
- Develop analytical data products, dashboards, reports, KPIs, and custom reporting solutions.
- Analyze data from multiple sources and translate findings into actionable business insights.
- Support data modelling, data mining, statistical analysis, and data quality assessments.
- Capture and document business and technical metadata for data products.
- Develop and share data models and analytical products with stakeholders.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, metrics, outcomes, and performance indicators.
- Integrate quantitative and qualitative information to support business planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and multiple vendors.
- Identify, document,



and escalate project issues and risks as appropriate.
- Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of data products and services based on evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications

- Experience working as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis, data modelling, reporting, dashboards, and data visualization.
- Experience working with multiple data sources and translating data into meaningful business insights.
- Experience with data quality, metadata, KPIs, metrics, and analytical reporting.
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary and multi-vendor environments.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience supporting strategic data, analytics, or business intelligence initiatives is highly desirable.

Work Environment

- 100% remote within Canada
- Standard hours: 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM Alberta time, Monday to Friday
- Occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton may be required, up to approximately 15%
- Contractor is responsible for providing their own equipment and remote-work setup.
- Equipment must be compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and required remote-access software.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete applicable privacy and security awareness training.
