INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR HYDROGEOLOGIST, GEOSCIENTIST, OR ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER The successful candidate will be self-motivated, and will work well independently, as well as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to help support a variety of projects within the mining, industrial, commercial, residential, and municipal sectors.

Environmental Engineering and consulting supporting clients in the mining, industrial, commercial, residential, and municipal sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Managing, designing and performing subsurface field geologic/hydrogeologic investigation tasks including drilling supervision, aquifer and geophysical testing, installing monitoring wells/piezometers, and overseeing the collection of soil and groundwater samples
- Procuring, coordinating, and overseeing subcontractors (e.g., analytical laboratories, drillers)
- Accurately documenting field programs (e.g. completing field forms, drilling logs, field notes, daily reports, etc.) to identify environmental conditions, observations, and activities
- Preparing cost estimates and proposals
- Preparing environmental monitoring and technical supporting documents by compiling and interpreting data and summarizing findings, with limited to no assistance
- Provide technical advisory, oversight, and review of contaminated sites, with defensible methodology, analysis and recommendations
- Support business development initiatives and growth
- Create and maintain effective relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and project team members
- Mentoring junior and intermediate staff

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional registration in Ontario (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) is required
- Qualified Person (QP)



as per Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), Ontario Regulation (O.Reg.) 153/04, as amended, is an asset
- A minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role preferably within a consulting environment
- Extensive working knowledge of relevant legislation
- Proficiency in groundwater numerical modelling and/or hydrologic modelling experience is an asset
- Experience completing hydrogeological testing; including aquifer performance evaluations (e.g. slug tests, pump tests, packer tests)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
- Experience writing technical reports and giving presentations to multi-stakeholder groups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- A valid class G driver’s license with no restrictions and a clean driving record
- Ability to operate and maintain field equipment, including equipment calibration to operational and regulatory requirements
- Ability to operate and maintain machinery to support field work; examples include boat motors, pumps, all terrain vehicles, vehicles, trailers
- Ability to lift and move approximately 50 pounds without assistance

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

COMPENSATION

Competitive wages, commensurate with experience. Hourly wage with annual bonus. A relocation bonus may also be considered for the right candidate.

Pay: $75,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
