Our Edmonton Electrical team is growing! We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our continued growth in power systems studies in the natural resource and renewable energy industries.

Work collaboratively with clients, project managers, engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards

Independently or with others, perform electrical studies such as powerflow, short circuit

Develop and implement work methods for the execution of project work

Lead, supervise, train, and mentor junior engineers during the project execution

Perform site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites

Create project scope of services, budgets and schedules

Communicate with the client on active and future projects

Do your qualities and values match our corporate culture? Bachelor, Masters or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in power systems from a recognized post-secondary institution

Experience with power system software such as PSS/E, DSATools, ETAP, APSEN.

Experience preparing and reviewing technical documents such as reports, specifications, design drawings, studies, plans, and instructions

Highly technical mindset with advanced engineering knowledge

Practical knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)





Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills A valid Class 5 driver’s license

Able to travel to customer sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA, and international destinations for project short-term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests, and more
