Intermediate, Quality Control Inspector - Level B (Afternoon Shift)

Primary Responsibilities

- Internal and External Audits: Participate in the preparation, execution, and assessment of compliance activities related to AS9100D and customer-specific requirements.
- Quality Management System (QMS) Support: Maintain and support the ongoing effectiveness of the Business Process Management System (BPMS) and conduct Internal Layered Process Audits.
- Quality Assurance Activities: Lead and support key quality processes, including Material Review Board (MRB) and containment activities but not limited to this aspect.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply quality tools, data analysis, and risk-based thinking to improve processes, eliminate ambiguity, and enhance the effectiveness of the QMS.
- Quality Metrics and Reporting: Compile, analyze, and report quality performance data. Develop charts, graphs, dashboards, and quality reports to support decision-making.
- Standards and Compliance: Stay current with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations impacting the QMS.
- Inspection and Verification: Perform inspections, tests, and audits of purchased parts, materials, equipment, assemblies, and quality control programs to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Technical Evaluation: Interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications, and bills of materials to determine acceptance or rejection of in-process and final assemblies.
- Measurement and Inspection Methods:



Utilize visual inspection techniques and precision measurement tools as required. Assist in developing and improving inspection methods and procedures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to address quality-related issues, communicate nonconformances, and support root cause and corrective action investigations.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide ongoing coaching and guidance on quality management system requirements and best practices. Develop training materials and support quality-related training initiatives.

- Demonstrated analytical skills with experience in 8D problem-solving methodologies and the ability to coach others in their application.
- Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate meetings, audits, Kaizen events, and management reviews.
- Capable of reading, interpreting, and preparing technical reports while understanding complex technical requirements.
- Working knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001,



or other applicable quality management system standards.
- Strong research, investigative, interviewing, and problem-resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Process-oriented mindset with sound auditing and compliance assessment capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Desired Education and Experiences

- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary diploma/associate degree with 0–2 years of related experience.
- Broad understanding of manufacturing processes, quality inspection methods, and configuration management principles.
- Experience utilizing Power Business Intelligence for data analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Lean Manufacturing certification (Lean Certificate) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt designation considered an asset.
- Experience working effectively within cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or quality-focused environment.
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent quality certification considered an asset.
- Training and practical knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Knowledge of quality management systems, continuous improvement methodologies, and industry best practices is preferred

*This posting is for a current vacancy. In the province of Ontario, Canada, the pay range for this position will be $59,000 - $65,000
